Gym Days/Play Dates
Elementary Gym Days are held the 2nd and 4th Fridays (September through April) from 2-4pm at All About Kids Sports Center (2531 Blankenbaker Parkway in Louisville). You can visit their website at

AAK is pleased to host our group during the Homeschool Open Gym that they offer at this time. Your elementary-aged children will have the opportunity to enjoy trampolines, rope swings, “pools” of foam blocks, slides, bars, rings, and all the fun stuff most of us don’t have at home! There is also an area where you can stay with your younger children as they play on inflatables, playhouses and an indoor “play place.”
The cost is $5 per child, which is a discounted rate for homeschool families. It’s a great time for toddlers up to tweens! Come join other HFHG families for some indoor fun and make some new friendships at the same time!
Valentine’s Day Party
Mark your calendars for Friday, February 12, 2010 for the annual Valentine’s Party. We have reserved a party room at KaZoings Party & Play, 3600 Chamberlain Lane, just off of Westport Road. Students will share valentines, enjoy some sweet treats and burn off some energy on inflatables! It will be a fun time for all.

2010 Summer Olympic Games (also known as Field Day)
Join us on May 25, 2010 for a day of fun and games! What better way to wrap up the school year than races, ribbons and wacky fun! We’ll have a morning of competition, enjoy a picnic lunch, and then our judges will hand out ribbons to our athletes at the afternoon awards ceremony. This is always a family favorite and we hope to have even more participants join us this year! We do ask parents to volunteer in some capacity on this day, so keep checking back for more info!
Kindergarten and 5th Grade Graduation
Let us help celebrate the accomplishments of your children with an “elementary graduation” recognizing those entering, and leaving, the elementary years. Graduation for Kindergarten and Fifth Grade will be held on Saturday, June 5th, 2010 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church. Families will be able to celebrate together the achievements made by their children. More details will be available as we near the end of the school year.
