Creation Club

Creation Club is a nature study group that meets once a month.  Each month we will meet at a different park, nature center, etc. in and around the Louisville area.  The idea is to simply get our kids outside observing and enjoying God’s creation!  Some events will include themed activities.

FAQ’s

What age is this group geared towards?
Creation Club is for the whole family!  All ages can enjoy nature!   Most students will enjoy all of the planned activities whether it is drawing in a nature journal or making a simple bird feeder.

What if I can’t make every meeting?
You do not have to participate every month…join us whenever you can.

What is the cost?
We do our best to make all of our Creation Club events free for homeschool families.  (If you are not a HFHG member please consider a $2 per student/$5 family max donation to the ministry of HomeForHisGlory at each event.)  Some locations may require a fee to use the facility or to provide a lesson for us.  In which case we will need to charge a small fee.

The following is information from Audrey Bolin:

Come be an entomologist for the day!  What is an entomologist?  An entomologist is someone that studies insects.  God created more than 800,000 species of insects, this doesn’t even count spiders.  We will be learning which “bugs” really are insects and which ones aren’t. Bring your magnifying glass, net, and bug house or plastic jar/container so we can observe these amazing creatures.  Study sheets and resource papers will be given to each family.

Audrey Bolin, a 16 yr. old homeschool student, has studied forestry for 7 years with a focus on entomology for the past two.  A week this summer she attended the Forestry and Entomology leadership program through UK. She loves sharing what she had learned these past few years with others…
