Cornerstone Academy of Eastside Praise
Cornerstone Academy of Eastside Praise (CAEP) brings learning to life for Preschool through 8th grade students by utilizing an experiential, hands-on approach in the classroom. CAEP offers a full-time program, as well as, a well-respected homeschool extension program.
Parents looking to customize their child's education can take advantage of a one or two day program, individual specialized classes, and monthly Mad Scientist and Time Travelers Clubs. Class sizes are small to allow a teacher to meet the individual needs of the students.
Professional, degreed teachers instruct in:
- Math
- Language Arts
- History
- Science
Specialized teachers are brought in to teach electives such as:
- Art
- Drama
- Music
- Physical Education
- Foreign Language

Dear Homeschoolers,
We are wrapping up another year at Cornerstone Academy of Eastside Praise and are getting ready to close out our classes for the upcoming 2007/2008 school year. Cornerstone Academy of Eastside Praise, located at 6300 Billtown Rd, offers a one day Homeschool Extension Program for students in the Kindergarten and Elementary Grades. Class are taught in a hands-on, experiential format and can stand alone as a day of learning or be incorporated in to part of your weekly homeschool curriculum. Classes are held on Fridays from 9:00am-2:45pm. Below are the topics:
Kindergarten - "Around the World" - Using the popular Five in a Row curriculum, our young students will travel around the globe to experience a wide array of beginning academics taught through crafts, songs, stories, projects, etc.
Grades 1-8 (subdivided in to age integrated classes - 4 course are offered throughout the day (students participate in all 4 classes)
- Zoology - We will be utilizing the Apologia Elementary Zoology as our backbone for this experiential Science class. Focus each week will be spent on the "lab" experiences which coincide with the content in the curricula.
- Across America - This American Geography course will take the students all over the great USA and will be a perfect compliment to any history or social studies curriculum which you are completing at home throughout the week.
- Art Adventures - Our AWESOME art teacher brings the worlds of the arts to our students through the use of clay, paint, mosaic, drawing, etc. The students express themselves and use their incredible imaginations to create!
- Money Matters - Utilizing Dave Ramsey and Larry Burkett's materials, we will introduce students to God's view on money. Along the way, they will learn about banking and business by creating their own unique class business.
Tuition - $100 per month (payable August through May..3% discount if paid in full by June 1st)
Registration/Insurance Fee - $75 for new students (one time fee)
Supplies and Materials - $150 (one time fee...included all lab and art supplies. Students will just need a packed lunch each day of class)
